Who We Are
AN EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVE CREATED BY YOUNG PEOPLE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE.
Geração Horizonte is a youth-led educational initiative that develops projects, programmes and learning experiences focused on the challenges of the 21st century.
We believe in an education geared towards the integral development of young people, able to prepare conscious, ethical and participatory citizens, ready to grow and evolve with confidence, critical thinking and humanity.
Why We Exist
The world has changed. Education must change too.
We live in a time marked by profound social, cultural and technological change, which demands young people able to interpret contexts, think critically, engage in dialogue, collaborate and make responsible decisions.
Despite progress in education systems, there remain fundamental human development skills that do not always find enough space in the traditional educational path.
Geração Horizonte was born from this vision: we believe that preparing the future starts by preparing those who will build it.
Our Educational Vision
To educate is to prepare for the real world.
We believe education is one of the most powerful instruments of individual and collective transformation.
Not only because it passes on knowledge, but because it develops the ability to understand, question and act upon reality.
Preparing young people for the future requires a broader educational approach, integrating intellectual, human, social and ethical development.
That is why our educational work is structured around three complementary dimensions, reflecting an integral view of human development and guiding all our programmes, workshops and projects.
Cognitive Skills
We empower young people to interpret the world with rigour, autonomy and critical judgement.

To achieve its mission, it structures its activity into four main areas of intervention, designed to promote skills development, support institutions and create educational experiences with impact.

We aim to support schools, associations, municipalities and other entities in designing, developing and implementing educational initiatives.
Through a collaborative approach, we help create innovative pedagogical solutions tailored to each organisation's goals and needs.
Co-organisation of Initiatives
We aim to collaborate with different entities in designing and running conferences, workshops, training cycles, forums, themed weeks and other educational initiatives.

Who leads Geração Horizonte.
The association is governed by three elected bodies that ensure transparency, rigour and continuity in fulfilling our mission.
General Assembly
The association's highest body: it approves the activity plan, the accounts and any changes to the statutes.
Board of Directors
Responsible for day-to-day management, project delivery and representing the association.
Supervisory Board
Monitors financial activity and issues an opinion on the annual report and accounts.
