Letter from the Founder
Some projects are born from an idea.
Geração Horizonte was born from a restlessness.
For years we were told that studying was enough. That good grades would open every door.
But when I finished school and entered university, I realised there was a question no one had prepared us for: how do we understand the world we live in?
We live surrounded by information, but not always by knowledge. We are constantly invited to give opinions, but rarely taught to question.
We learn formulas, dates and concepts, but we are seldom taught to think truly independently, to listen to those who think differently, or to build well-founded opinions.
Geração Horizonte was born from that awareness.
Not to replace school, but to walk alongside it. Not to give ready-made answers, but to help young people ask better questions. Not to tell them what to think, but to give them the tools to think for themselves.
I deeply believe that education is the most powerful way to transform a society. And above all, I believe in young people — in their ability to create, to lead, to innovate and to change what seems impossible.
Geração Horizonte is the reflection of that belief.
Every project we develop, every school we visit and every partnership we build comes from the same purpose: helping to shape a generation that is more critical, more human and better prepared to face today's challenges and build the future.
If this project inspires even one young person to look at the world with more curiosity, more responsibility and more courage, it will already have fulfilled part of its mission.
Because the future does not belong only to those who wait for it. It belongs to those who decide to build it.
